PBM Buildbase at Haverhill has relocated to a new, purpose-built site. The business has moved a few miles from its present site in The Old Mill to smart new premises in Phoenix Road. The branch has been able to expand and add new facilities. One of the most impressive is the kitchen and bathroom showroom with 44 displays of the newest designs. There’s a timber mill, Hirebase and a new plumbing and heating counter in the large self-select stores. A hard landscaping area is being built outside in time for spring. The origins of PBM Buildbase can be traced back to 1965 when Alan Archer set up the family firm. Sons Tony, Paul and Terry have followed him into the business. Having traded from The Pightle, the old police station and courthouse, the company moved to the Old Vitovis Mill in 1989. In 2003 the business joined Buildbase and has continued to grow. |
