Timber Frame Lintels

All of our timber frame lintels must be installed with a timber pinch batten and restraining clips. This helps to prevent the lateral deflection (rotation) of the lintel during building stages and ensures that the loading figures shown can be achieved. Propping may be used which would facilitate speed of construction.

Keystone timber frame restraint clips must be fixed to the timber structure by 3.3m x 50mm galvanised nails. Allowance should be made for the movement of the timber structure due to shrinkage and settlement over time. Lateral restrain clips should be placed at 500mm centres each side of the midspan.

For other projects please check our range of lintels for cavity walls. You can also view our range of lintels for eaves and our range of concrete lintels

For more information on our lintels please check our how to guide. However, before ordering a lintel, it is essential that you speak with the project’s structural engineer to advise on the correct lintel for the job.
