Buildbase Goal of the Round Competition Terms and Conditions

The Buildbase Goal of the round Competition will be run across Twitter and Facebook. For entry into the Buildbase Goal of the round competition via Twitter and Facebook (the “Competition”) the following terms and conditions (‘Terms and Conditions’) apply:

1. Unless the Promoter expressly agrees otherwise in writing, the Competition includes and is only available to:

a. Senior Men's football teams playing in Buildbase FV Vase 2020/2021 matches and Buildbase FA Trophy 2020/2021 matches.

b. Goals scored within the official match running time and acknowledged as scored by the refereeing team and the FA official score board.

2. Unless the Promoter expressly agrees otherwise in writing, only video entrees will be accepted with the following rules applying to all entrees:

a. Video’s must be submitted by a person aged 18 or over and living in the UK.

b. The video must be submitted within a reply to a post or tweet from an official Buildbase channel, or in a private post or tweet containing the phrase ‘#BuildbaseGoalOfTheRound

c. Accounts which can submit a video on behalf of a Club include but are not limited to; official Club accounts and promoters, personal accounts belonging to spectators, team players, team management and ground staff. The social media account holder will receive no prizes or compensation for entering a Club into the competition.

d. The person submitting the video must have full and complete rights to the video they submit, or express permission from the media owner to enter the video.

e. Any person identifiable in the video who has not given express permission for the video to be made public, reserves the right to request permanent removal of the media and withdrawer of the Entry from the competition.

f. By submitting a video, the submitter gives the promoter the right to reuse, redistribute and edit the original video in any way they see fit.

g. The Promoter agrees not to use any submitted videos in any way that could be considered defamatory, or bring disrepute upon the submitter, Clubs or persons featured.

3. The Competition will run in 9 rounds as follows:

a. Round 1 Vase: From 10:00am Friday 18th September 2020 to midnight on Tuesday 03rd November 2020, open to Entries from any Club playing in a First or Second round qualifying match of the Buildbase FV Vase. The top 3 Entries will be chosen by Buildbase internal staff, with the final winner being chosen by collating the results of a 3-day public poll run across both Facebook and Twitter. 

b. Round 1 Trophy: From 10:00am Saturday 26 September 2020 to midnight on Tuesday 03rd November 2020, open to Entries from any Club playing in a First, Second or Third round qualifying match of the Buildbase FV Trophy. The top 3 Entries will be chosen by Buildbase internal staff, with the final winner being chosen by collating the results of a 3-day public poll run across both Facebook and Twitter. 

c. Round 2 Vase: From 10:00am Saturday 31st October 2020 to midnight on Sunday 06th December 2020, open to Entries from any Club playing in a First or Second round proper match of the Buildbase FA Vase. The top 3 Entries will be chosen by Buildbase internal staff, with the final winner being chosen by collating the results of a 3-day public poll run across both Facebook and Twitter. 

d. Round 2 Trophy: From 10:00am Saturday 14th November 2020 to midnight on Sunday 06th December 2020, open to Entries from any Club playing in a First or Second round proper match of the Buildbase FA Trophy. The top 3 Entries will be chosen by Buildbase internal staff, with the final winner being chosen by collating the results of a 3-day public poll run across both Facebook and Twitter.  

e. Round 3 Vase: From 10:00am Saturday 19th December 2020 to midnight on Sunday 07th February 2021, open to Entries from any Club playing in a Third, Fourth or Fifth round proper match of the Buildbase FA Vase. The top 3 Entries will be chosen by Buildbase internal staff, with the final winner being chosen by collating the results of a 3-day public poll run across both Facebook and Twitter.  

f. Round 3 Trophy: From 10:00am Saturday 19th December 2020 to midnight on Sunday 07th February 2021, open to Entries from any Club playing in a Third, Fourth or Fifth round proper match of the Buildbase FA Trophy. The top 3 Entries will be chosen by Buildbase internal staff, with the final winner being chosen by collating the results of a 3-day public poll run across both Facebook and Twitter.  

g. Round 4 Vase: From 10:00am Saturday 6th February 2021 to midnight on Sunday 09th May 2021, open to Entries from any Club playing in a Quarter, Semi or Final match of the Buildbase FA Vase. The top 3 Entries will be chosen by Buildbase internal staff, with the final winner being chosen by collating the results of a 3-day public poll run across both Facebook and Twitter.  

h. Round 4 Trophy: From 10:00am Saturday 27th February 2021 to midnight on Sunday 09th May 2021, open to Entries from any Club playing in a Quarter, Semi or Final match of the Buildbase FA Trophy. The top 3 Entries will be chosen by Buildbase internal staff, with the final winner being chosen by collating the results of a 3-day public poll run across both Facebook and Twitter.  

i. Round 5 (Goal of the season): From 10:00am Friday 12th March 2021 to midnight on Sunday 14th May 2021, open only to the winners of the previous 4 rounds. All 8 round winners will be entered and the final two winners (one FA Vase Club and one FA Trophy Club) will be chosen by collating the results of a 3-day public poll run across both Facebook and Twitter.  

4. Any Entries received before the open date or after the closing date stated in section (3) will not be counted. The Promoter does not accept any responsibility for late, lost or incomplete Entries whatever the cause, including Entries which cannot be viewed due to social media privacy settings or any videos where poor image hosting, image quality, video processing or uploading issues make the action within the video un-watchable. Proof of entry is not proof of receipt by the Promoter.

5. This competition is free to enter; no purchase is necessary.

6. Unless otherwise agreed in writing with the Promoter, the Prize will only be awarded directly to the two Winners of Round 5 (Goal of the season). Winners from all other rounds will only win entry into Round 5 (Goal of the season).

7. The two winners from Round 5 (Goal of the season) will be notified via Personal Message on Monday 14th March 2021 and will be asked to provide further contact details including email and postal address. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute a similar alternative Prize of equal or greater value without giving notice. No cash alternative will be given.

8. The Promoter does not accept any responsibility for costs incurred by Entrants associated with the Competition. Expenses which are not specifically stated to be included in the prize shall be for the Winners own account.

9. The Promoter cannot accept liability for any system failures, network errors, hacks on the system, personal computer issues or any other issue out of our reasonable control.

10. Entrants, by submitting an Entry, agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any Entrants it believes not to be participating within the spirit of the Competition or suspects of participating in any unfair or unjust behaviour, for example inappropriate or offensive comments or photographs. The Promoter reserves the right to use their discretion in all respects and to enforce any penalty or sanction they deem appropriate.

11. The Promoter’s decision is final and binding in all matters and no correspondence will be entered into.

12. By entering the Competition, the entrant agrees to the collection, retention, usage and distribution of the entrant's personal information in order to process and contact the entrant about the entrant's entry. The Promoter shall use and take care of any personal information as described in its privacy policy, which can be found at www.buildbase.co.uk.

13. This Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by Facebook/Twitter/Instagram, or any other social network and Entrants release Facebook/Twitter/Instagram of any and all liability in relation to this Competition. You are providing your information to the Promoter and not to any other party.

14. The Promoter reserves the right to modify, withdraw or terminate this Competition, or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time, without notice or compensation due to reasons outside its control (including, without limitation, if the event is postponed or in the case of anticipated, suspected or actual fraud).

15. The Competition is a standalone promotion and does not amend normal terms and conditions of trading as between the Promoter and the Participant, which will continue to apply.

16. This Competition, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with it, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law. You irrevocably agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim that arises out of -or in connection with this Competition.

17. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, personal injury, death or disappointment incurred or suffered by a personal Entrant or the Club the Entry is made on behalf of as a result of entering the Competition or accepting the Prize. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall exclude the liability of the Promoter for death, personal injury, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation as a result of its negligence.

18. The Promoter shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations where the failure is caused by something outside its reasonable control. Such circumstances shall include, but not be limited to, weather conditions, fire, flood, hurricane, strike, industrial dispute, war, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, inevitable accidents, supervening legislation or any other circumstances amounting to force majeure.

19. Subject to the Participants taxation status, the Prize may be a taxable benefit and subject to tax and/or National Insurance; The Promoter accepts no liability whatsoever in respect of payment of tax or National Insurance or for notification of the benefit earned by a user to any tax authorities. For further information the Participant should contact its nearest Inland Revenue Office.
