Fillers & Preparation

Fillers & Preparation

At Buildbase we stock an extensive range of fillers & preparation items for your painting and decorating project.
First we have our caulk filler. Decorator’s caulk is acrylic based and as a filler it is very flexible. Because of this it can be used on a variety of different types of surfaces before you begin your decorating project. These surfaces can include window frames, door frames, skirting board and architrave. Once you caulk is dry it can be painted over for a professional looking finish.
Next we have interior filler which is designed for filling gaps and cracks on internal surfaces. Once dry most interior filler is very easy to sand and can then usually be nailed or drilled.
Following this we have masonry filler which is designed for filling small areas of damage, cracks or chips in external rough masonry surfaces.
We also have wood filler which is specially designed for use on wood and timbers and comes in a variety of colour options such as white, medium dark and natural.
For preparing areas or cleaning up after a project we have a range of cleaners and solvents, such as methylated spirit and brush cleaner. We also have cleaning materials such as sponges or wipes, to help you get the job done.
Finally, we have a wide range of masking tape options available in multiple sizes so that you can find the perfect product to suit your project.
If for any reason you cannot find the item you require, please do not hesitate to contact your local branch team, whose details can be found using our useful branch locator. If you are unsure of which product would be best and would like to discuss your project further, you can also book an appointment with one of your local experts.
