Satinwood paint provides a medium shine finish as it is a semi-gloss paint, making it a very popular choice for windowsills, skirting boards or architrave to provide a crisp and clean look. Satinwood paint retains colour for longer than most other paints, it’s durability and long lasting colour make it a very popular paint choice currently.
At Buildbase we stock Dulux satinwood paints, including the popular Dulux Trade Satinwood Paint in the colour Pure Brilliant White and is available in 1L, 2.5L and 5L cans. Dulux Trade Satinwood has a solvent-based formulation which is hard-wearing, tough and resistant to dirt. In most cases it will not require an undercoat unless a strong colour change is needed. However, a primer may help to stop satinwood paint from peeling over time. It is suitable for use on most interior wood and metal surfaces.
Usually, areas which will require satinwood paint are smaller and more intricate. Because of this the easiest way to apply satinwood paint is with our fantastic and extensive range of paint brushes or with one of our smaller paint rollers designed for more intricate work. We would also recommend the use of masking tape to ensure a neat finish. You may also wish to consider some of our protective sheets to ensure you keep your work area clean and tidy during your painting project.
For your other painting needs we also stock a wide range of other paint options including undercoat paint and emulsion paint.
